The University of West Georgia prepares future public historians by providing real world experience at the Center for Public History.

Ann McCleary and Rebecca Bailey, professors at the Center for Public History, explain the projects students complete while studying at the university and the philosophy guiding their endeavors.

At the Center, students have the opportunity to serve as project leaders and guide fellow students, staff, and volunteers in completing professional projects in oral history, research, and exhibitions.

McCleary and Bailey provide examples of successful graduates and the role the Center plays in its community.
