At a time when IMLS federal grant funding skews to libraries, the museums and history organizations began to formulate a plan to put themselves on Congress’s agenda.

Thus the Federal Formula Grand Coalition formed and focused efforts on securing federal formula grants for museums.

This article gives basic knowledge about how the Coalition operates and the targeted efforts for the upcoming years.

It also provides information about federal money and where it goes in relation to museums and libraries.

Author Terry Davis also encourages readers to be a part of the Coalition or organizations such as AASLH or AAM in order to present a more united front to state and federal government.
