Collections are only relevant to the public if they can be viewed while on display.

Rose T. Briggs provides solutions for displaying museum quality clothing in museums and other settings. She explains how to dress mannequins without damaging the clothing and the problems she has encountered, with solutions, when displaying clothing in this way.

Oftentimes, only pieces of mannequins are used for displaying clothing and Briggs explains how to craft the necessary supports and mounts out of proper materials when this is the case.

Briggs also suggests the pros and cons of allowing interpreters to wear historic clothing that is not deemed museum quality.
