If This House Could Talk is an event that was born out of a desire to get a community talking to each other about stories that they, themselves, would write.

ITHCT was inspired by the Cambridgeport History Day and eventually morphed into a permanent feature of the annual history day.

The article describes the process of creating, promoting and institutionalizing the event.

ITHCT encourages residents of Cambridgeport to research their own houses and then post their historical findings. Participants can then walk around the neighborhood and read about the histories of their own neighbors.
